Lunch at Blu on December 4 – Our club meeting on December 4 will be held at Allen High School. We will be dining at the AHS restaurant (Blu) starting at noon followed by a Christmas program by AHS students. If you’re not signed up to attend but would like to go, please contact Tim Carroll.
Christmas Parade – Final preparations are being made for the annual Allen Rotary Christmas Parade which will be held on December 8. Please contact Regina Taylor if you are available to be a parade volunteer.
Donation Plate Designation – As mentioned in the November bulletin, the donation plate proceeds for July through December will be donated to ShelterBox. Our objective is to raise the funds to pay for one ShelterBox at a cost of $1,000.
City Employee Recognition – Our new program to recognize a city employee each month began in November with the attendance of Daniel Williams at our November 11 meeting. Daniel is the Fire Rescue-Division Chief with the Allen Fire Department. We appreciate Daniel’s positive impact to the Allen community through his work with AFD. Neil Fonville is making arrangements for another city employee to be recognized during a December meeting. If you would like to recommend a specific city employee for club recognition, please contact Neil.
No Meetings on December 25 and January 1 – We will not have club meetings on Christmas Day or New Years Day. Our first meeting of 2020 will be at the usual time and place on January 8. Wishing each of you and your families a blessed holiday season.
