Meetings
The world is still battling the COVID 19 and as a result, many events have been postponed or moved to a virtual platform. Allen Rotary Club is no different as we have and will continue to host our club meetings virtually via Zoom Enterprise Video Applications. The meeting time will remain at 12pm every other Wednesday through September 30th 2020. We are doing our best to make these meetings more interactive; therefore, if you have any suggestions feel free email Tamika Washington your idea at tlwashin@washenterprise.com.
District Awards Ceremony
District 5810 Awards Ceremony was hosted virtually this year. There were many awesome deserving Rotarians that received rewards including of our very own, John Maria. Kudos to John for receiving the District Star Award! Your leadership and volunteer hours exemplify that your commitment to our community. You can view the other award winners by visiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnwj0dJ8Owo&feature=youtu.be&t=154.
Flags Program Update
Thank you to our flag team for another successful flag holiday fundraiser. The flag team, chaired by Louise Master, has helped raise additional funds that will help with matching grant requirements for the upcoming year. This program is important because we will not be able to participate in some of our annual fundraisers that help raise funds.
If you or someone you know is interested in participating in the flag program and/or would like a flag displayed at your home or business, please contact Louise at lmaster720@sbcglobal.net
